The Frida Blanket

The Frida Blanket, a beautiful, colourful creation, lovingly crocheted by me, Lucia.

I've always admired my talented friend Janie Crow who creates the most amazing crochet patterns, and I've thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with her several times during they year recreating different colour combinations like the Persian Tiles, the Frida Primavera e and several others

The Frida Blanket was originally designed by Janie Crow for Stylecraft as a CAL (Crochet-Along) and features gorgeous FridaKahlo inspired flowers, intricate details and a wonderful combination of vibrant colours.

For my version, I've kept all the beautiful colours from the original design but decided to make the blanket even bigger, extending the pattern to create a generously sized piece while staying true to Jane's original colour scheme.

Made using 100% cotton yarn, this blanket has a lovely natural feel, beautiful texture and a substantial weight. The stunning floral details and colourful design make it a real statement piece, perfect for bringing warmth and personality into any home.

There is only one Frida Blanket handmade by me available to purchase, making this extended version a truly special piece.
