Description

The Spanish Moss Scarf, a very special crochet design that holds a wonderful place in my heart, as it was the very first crochet pattern I ever designed!

Originally created for the 2017 Blogstars Tour, this scarf marked the beginning of my journey into crochet pattern designing. I remember feeling both incredibly excited and a little nervous about sharing my first design alongside so many talented friends and fellow designers.

For this project, I chose the beautiful Stylecraft Batik Lagoon yarn pack, featuring a gorgeous collection of blues, greens and soft, muted shades. The combination of Krypton, Indigo, Sage, Storm, Silver, Teal and Lupin creates a lovely blend of colours that gives the scarf its distinctive character.

I've always loved working with Stylecraft Batik yarn, and this project was the perfect opportunity to experiment with its beautiful colours and texture.

My daughter Valentina kindly modelled the finished scarf, making this first design even more special to me!

The Spanish Moss Scarf is a lovely project for anyone who enjoys experimenting with colour and creating beautiful handmade accessories.

Looking back, this pattern will always be one of my favourites, as it represents where my crochet designing journey first began.
